9:40 is talking about predictions.
9:10 is talking about long-term effects of the cosmic system.

Moreover, just like we today are capable of simulating scenarios in a simulation, maybe the people of the past had similar methods or knowledge.

I agree that the cosmos is a dynamic, ever changing system. That's doesn't mean that astrological predictions are worthy of serious consideration.

You mean to tell me, that the position of a star, several thousand light-years away, has no impact on my life at all?

Do you know preposterous that sounds?

So frog farts block gravity?

Turtle farts. Please try and keep up. And no, they don't block gravity. They simply exert more gravity than any star in the night sky. So for accuracy your horoscope must track and predict every turtle that passes gas.

Quote:About effects of close objects; sure; the closer an object is to you the more it affects you.
But that doesn't nullify the far objects' effects on you.

Swamped in the noise is the term you're looking for. Here are a few quick numbers: [Image: Gravity_anomalies_on_Earth.jpg]

Quote:For example, even though the sun's gravity is strong on the short term and affect us in stronger ways than other objects (just like the frogs' gas and earth) , the Black Hole on the center of our galaxy wins on the long term, and it shall eat our planet eventually.

And horoscopes are predicted on the very short term.

After all, we are all part of the same system (i.e the universe) and the tiniest difference in star/planetary systems would lead to differences here on earth, just like science proved:

Wait...there are swamps in Iowa?  I grew up there.  How did I miss swamps and only see one corn field after another?

Not many left, but yeah, there are.
