Things seem to be pretty bad already. Two Greek pilots were dead today while fighting wildfires on the island of Elvia. Algeria / Tunisia, Southern Italy is burning. Northern Italy is flooded, so is India because of abnormal Monsoon rains and drought and extreme heat is hitting both China + North America.

I don’t want to a pessimist but seeing these same news over and over again since about a week now (Tuesday 25 of July 2023) is quite impressive.

We need action and we need it fast. So here is a nice video on that:

Let's remember that events off planet can affect Earth's climate more positively or adversely than anything we're doing. They are less likely but then was Trump's election.

Yes, an asteroid can come tomorrow and put the whole earth into extended nuclear winter, so no need to worry the earth would get too hot otherwise.

I am greatly worried about homeless people in the US. Tents are great things in the winter. I’ve slept in a tent in -4 degree Fahrenheit and it wasn’t that much of an issue. But in the summer tents tend to become overheated starting at sunrise.

Besides many of these people have limited or no access to clean water. Being unable to shower would probably create all sorts of discomfort as well.

I think that a housing plan for these people is necessary for these people, at least during summer months. I think they might start dying in mass.

+ The temperature sea in Miami is said to have reached 104 degree Fahrenheit. I think this is very weird for the Atlantic Ocean.

So whatever Donald Trump may be saying about these issues I think I would simply not listen to him Smile

This month of July is the hottest July in 120,000 years.

https://www.yahoo.com/news/july-2023-cou...37662.html

And in some countries. Government forces are trying to clear forest areas in order to build new coal mine despite massive resistance from the local population. In fact the Turkish government is even destroying olive trees (which are bringing enormous revenue to the economy) in order to expand coal-mining activities.

In a spiritual perspective: This is the human Ego in its lowest state. It’s a force of greed and envy and fear that acts like a force “that is here to protect us” and all that is does is to destroy everything we are. Just like in the story of Adam and Eve and others being fooled by the devil in the biblical stories over and over again.

Since the late 70’s big oil companies basically know everything about climate change. Just like tobacco companies the need for money and more profit has pushed them to lobby for climate inaction and even today they are trying to challenge scientific unanimity by calling us “climate alarmists” and things like that.

An in the spiritual books I am studying right now it says “The ego is not here just to distract you. It is here to kill you and even take a few more people with you if it can”. During the massive earthquake that shook south-eastern Turkey in February. Senior AK Party members + several building contractors (who were responsible for the construction of so many houses that did not follow building regulations that have been put in place since several decades now) who were among the direct victims of the earthquake. That’s how “the limited self” is working. It sees the cash, the money, appearances, fancy cars, reputation, status, self-importance everything that’s superficial, everything that has no meaning if you start to think with a more philosophical attitude but it’s unable to see value in the shade of an olive tree for instance. It doesn’t even see any value in his/her own life. And if you really analyze it in depth, you can see that in that kind of place of darkness and fear one does not even see value in anything at all.

Meaning: “The hottest month in 120,000 years” – That’s extinction.

So people should not think that the devil is some supernatural entity living in the furnaces of Hades.

I can already imagine several members of this forum telling me “You know what? There is no devil. It’s only in your mind”

- And that’s the point: Maybe that’s the worst place for the devil to be in. Don’t you agree? Smile

102° F predicted here. Lovin' it. The lawn doesn't grow very fast in this heat.
