RE: Plausibility of ancient extraterrestrials
For whatever it's worth, I promise this is the first and only account I've had on here. Wish I could prove it

You should.

Explain to me like I'm 5 years old why I should think it's a lucky coincidence. I genuinely don't get it

The flying machines that Hindu deities were said to have had are what really gets me. Sounds just like the UAPs we're seeing in recent years. The machines were described as being able to move in any direction while still facing in the same direction, like a helicopter. This is exactly like the UAPs that get described nowadays

It's almost as if we've always been seeing shit that wasn't there.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

You find it more plausible that some mystic force provided a random jot of information to an ancient people who had not one fucking thing to use that information on?

What about the vanishingly small probability of getting those measurements correct to such a fine level of precision by merely guessing?

Also, who prompted them to even make such guesses?

Why were ancient people even talking about their home as a planet and talking about how old the planet is?

Who prompted people to guess about shit? I'm going with no one, that's just what we do...for 500.

How many men did your mom sleep with before she met your dad, best guess?

Pop quiz! That the first time you thought about your mom fucking?

Ok I'm ready to come away from this with the following summary:
Aliens have never been here on Earth.
Any correct statement made in a religious text is due to the genius of ancient humans.

Am I still in the wrong or do I appear to have learned my lesson?

RE: Plausibility of ancient extraterrestrials
I have an alternate explanation: In the last 4500 years or so, humanity has been able to figure out a lot of things. Perhaps the recent past isn't the first time around for humans - it's possible (although not yet demonstrated archaeologically) that an earlier iteration of Homo sapiens had accumulated a similar body of knowledge, and some of it made it into scriptures.
