Plausibility of ancient extraterrestrials

Except the UFOlogy is rather incompetent compare to things like Christianity because it foolish put too much emphasis on providing the wrong explanations, and not enough emphasis on turning it into a fraudulent protection racket.

It's a new business, relatively. They do alright on merch. Christianity wasn't exactly hot for it's first 60 or 70 years either...whenever the fuck that was. HThey were stuck in the "peddling holy nails and magic water" phase for centuries. There's -heavy- overlap between ufology and christianity nowadays (and every other new age whatsit). So they're definitely a competitor in that particular zero sum game. I think the appeal there is that ufology is a revision of traditional mythology which allows the contemporary person to feel as though they weren't a cretin for having believed it, and to maintain a modified belief.

The very same "gods" were described across multiple cultures all over the planet. You can find endless examples of gods that went by one name in one culture and by another name (in some cases an extremely similar name) in another culture.

I feel like there might be some exaggerating going on here. Sure, we have scenarios in which one culture borrows/adapts gods and other mythical figures from another culture (for example, the ancient Romans borrowing/adapting gods from the ancient Greeks), but these cases are plausible because of the temporal/geographic proximity between both cultures. However, your first statement here makes it sound like so many cultures (including cultures that were otherwise temporally and geographically distant from one another) shared all the same gods, and that's just not really true.

Historical evidence suggests that multiple ancient cultures had advanced scientific knowledge rivaling (and in many cases exceeding) our modern scientific knowledge.

Can you give examples here?

The enormous collection of Vedic texts taken to be historical (as opposed to the purely mythological ones) seem to do a great job of telling the stories of these beings. These texts also do a great job of making highly quantitatively specific scientific claims that have been shown to be miraculously correct in modern times.

Why were ancient people even talking about their home as a planet (by the way, Hindu scriptures correctly described Earth as a sphere) and talking about how old the planet is?

I'm happy to believe that the ancient Hindus, like the ancient Greeks, were able to deduce that the earth is round/spherical. I'm also happy to believe that they talked about the earth being quite old. But can we nevertheless, for the sake of accuracy, see those verses that speak of the earth being a planet and being round/spherical. And also how old did these texts describe earth to be.

The flying machines that Hindu deities were said to have had are what really gets me. Sounds just like the UAPs we're seeing in recent years. The machines were described as being able to move in any direction while still facing in the same direction, like a helicopter. This is exactly like the UAPs that get described nowadays

In order for me to make a fair response here, I need to first see those verses that talk of these flying machines. If you've already posed examples in later posts, I'll have a look now. Otherwise, please post these verses here so we can all have a look and see for ourselves what is a reasonable conclusion to make in light of all these verses and other supposed pieces of evidence. Doing so might also serve to help you reassess the credibility of your own position even.

I think that one swirls around gods commonly having the same functions, regardless of where or when they come from or what theyre called.  A functional explanation of cultural similarity isn't useful to nuts, so they go a different way with it - but that statement incriminates the larger belief system on it's own.

I can save you the trouble.  They exist, and are the later versions of already ancient fairy tales which started out with the gods palaces being drawn by teams of animals, ofc.  It's interesting from the point of view of linguistics and anthropology, but nothing about it that;s interesting points to spaceships.
