RE: Random Thoughts
Started coming down with a summer cold, and I’m wondering to myself, is this you coming for me, Rona?

When being grown up in a certain ideological framework, who upon becoming an adult shed that ideology, transcending it, why do those still stuck in it insist that the adult "come back into the fold" with attempts of persuasion locked in that way of thinking, think that it would have any effect?

Like, I can see the strings moving the puppets, animating them. I'm not gonna pretend the strings aren't there when they're in plain view.

At total random i wound up reading the article about the Colorado Wedding cake incident , And i gotta say the argument the baker uses to justify his discrimination is hilarious . Here are some quotes .

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/politic...-t-n880061

Quote:” on Tuesday that he doesn’t “discriminate” against anybody and that he simply doesn't want to bake cakes “for every message” — saying that he would also refuse to create a dessert that insulted the LGBTQ community.
Yet you do make messages for weddings and you refused to do it only because the customer wanted it for a gay wedding . And having you write hate speech is equivalent to your writing a standard wedding message on a cake . This was discrimination plain and simple

Quote:“It's just that I don't create cakes for every occasion they ask me to create,” he said.
But you do make cakes for weddings and you refused to do it only because the customer wanted it for a gay wedding

Quote:“This cake is a specific cake, a wedding cake is an inherently religious event and the cake is definitely a specific message,” Phillips said, explaining his objection to making the wedding cake for the same-sex wedding.
Yup and they were asking for it for a wedding . A wedding cake is not inherently religious because in the united states gay people can marry and marriages can be conducted by secular authorities . So this is still discrimination .

Quote:'I don't create cakes for Halloween,
But you do make wedding cakes so this is not equivalent

Quote: I wouldn't create a cake that would be anti-American or disparaging against anybody for any reason, even cakes that would disparage people who identify as LGBT,” he said. "Cakes have a message and this is one I can't create
Anti American or Anti gay are not equivalent to writing standard speech on wedding cake .As for the message it was congratulating two gay people getting married . The only reason you refuse to write it is because they are gay . That's discrimination plain and simple

Panic I paid my car off today, I paid my car off today.

Also ran payroll for the first time for my new job.  I am liking this working from home thing quite a bit.  Now that I have been through some training I will only have to go to the office once a week, at most.  Boss wants to meet with me once a month.  Kinda liking it.

Looking into buying a new computer so I can use it for work and reserve my laptop for my stuff...trying to figure out what to get.  Now that I don't have a car payment, a new computer is within the budget.  And it will feed my love of new electronics/gadgets.

One annoying piece of ID propaganda is the denial of the so called  factory argument ( i call it a fact ) I essentially goes like this

We observer the humans create certain objects directly therefore if we find say a watch we can say it was designed by man even when have not directly observed said objects being made they are created in a distinctly human fashion and cannot be used to justify other intelligences existing  .We on the other hand cannot make that same conclusion for a sea shell or a star .The IDiot will insist complexity and function are sufficient to say they were both intelligently designed . But they can only do that through incredulity or opinion as there is no reason an ID skeptic need accept these as valid . Another defense they will employ in support of this that only intelligence has been observed to design period this is ironic as they will appeal to observation when convenient but can't show us an intelligence capable of producing a star .Showing intelligence has observed limits and they can only imagine intelligences with less or none . This however is simply that imagination and imagination is not science .

Cool about the car! Why isn't your employer furnishing a computer for you to do their work on?
