They made some dandy firearms too.
I had a Herter's U7 (BSA Monarch) in 300 Win Mag for years - till I let a buddy shoot it. He was so impressed he offered me a ridiculous amount of money for it.
I regularly shot 1/2 MOA groups at 300 yards with it... A real sniper gun...
