Just got four inches of hair cut off...and I still have long hair.

One tactic rightwingers love to trot out is they will bring someone that escaped someplace like Cuba and then have them talk about how bad it was then insist it was because of Socialism "see this is what Socialism is like " how dare you disagree "they lived under it" And they act like it's absurd that anyone who lives in a capitalist country can critique such a person or question whether or not the place they left was actually Socialist rather then they were simply lied to by their former leadership that the place they lived in was socialist. Because shock leaders of autocratic regimes fucking lie when it's in their interest to.
Of course, the country they came from isn't socialist. Cuba wasn't even an attempt at Socialism. Sure its leadership uses aesthetics of Socialism (sovietism) and its ruling party tries to say that it's socialist but when you actually try to find any actual Socialist policies that are exclusive to socialism and not just something any autocratic regime could pull off. You never find anything. It really is proof of how unintelligent the modern right is.

One of the most bullshit part of professional moron Matt Walsh's Bullshit "documentary" is when randomly goes looking for tribes people and asking "what is a women " to try an set up the narrative that Trans-people are a modern thing and that gender binaries have always been the norm. What he doesn't take into account
1. Outside contamination of Western or Islamic influence which would make being openly Trans dangerous 2. Home grown culture prejudices and beliefs that would keep someone from being open or even attributing their tansness to something else. 3.Considering that even now Trans-people are rare and that it's probable that these people have rarely seen. Assuming anyone was open about it. The fact anyone would think this is an own is facepalm inducing But it ties into another one of his dumb takes that we don't hear about Trans suicides. Again trans-people are rare and being openly trans is even rarer. So they would likely just get swept up in general statistics.

Just curious if anyone on AF uses the streaming service 'WOWPresentsPlus' to watch RuPaul's Drag Race, since they ditched Netflix and went it alone two seasons ago? I'm considering subscribing but for all the platforms I've been interested in - xbox and android - reviews say that the apps are terrible and don't work, so that seems to leave only streaming on the website itself as a potential option, so just curious if anyone has any experience of that and can speak to it's reliability and/or has anything positive to say about the service as a whole?
