I live on a corner and both my neighbours are away on holidays.
Even though I live alone with plenty of privacy, it feels like an extra nice feeling to know that there are no other human beings in my vicinity.
I have a friend who lives in the city in a massive boarding house where, even though you can't see or hear them, you know that there are people within metres of you. Lots of them.
It's sickening.
I don't believe that big cities have anything to offer that's worth living like that.

Never mind. Seeing that it's apparently a visa issue. Too bad. I liked them (maybe it's time for the SYTYCD thread, but I'm out for the night).

IMO, it is not wise to do math late at night: I was working on a proof late last night and hit a dead end; however, after a taking a second look at the proof this morning (after some rest), I realized that I missed an easy contradiction.

My brain has gone into Weird Multitasking Mode. I thought I was reading AF and sipping Glenmorangie Original Scotch, but just became aware that in the back of my brain a few neurons are rehearsing a concert band arrangement of Super Mario Brothers.
