From now on when someone refers to scripture as evidence of anything, I'm going to post the following.

Heh, I'm reminded of the times I've hammered christ-punchers that Odin is the man, and that they are going to be sorely disappointed when they die. Makes as much sense as any of that xtian crap. And I like runes. The Elder Futhark is fun- the symbols are pretty neat. I even carved some runes into a hiking staff I used to carry when I hiked with the Boy Scouts. You can use the letters as a substitution cypher, or take the rune for the meaning and make a much shorter carving. Some of the kids asked what the symbols were, and when I explained, I could see the hair raising on the backs of really religious type parents' necks.

I quite often mock by invoking Odin and Thor, and tell them they had better repent or they won't get into Valhalla. Also, if Odin and Thor don't exist, why do they have days of the week named after them? Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni: "You did WHAT? With WHO? WHERE???"
