The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

From now on when someone refers to scripture as evidence of anything, I'm going to post the following.

Evidence that Spider-man exists in reality as a divine superhero:

"We're not just our failures. As much as they hurt, we learn from them. Then we go out there and do our best to make up for them-- Even though we never will. We save people. We save as many as we can to make up for the ones we couldn't. That's all we do."

I've been using the Spider-man argument with certain fundies for some time, particularly those who use the, "Jerusalem is mentioned in the bible, therefore the bible is 100% correct" type.

New York is mentioned in Spider-man, therefore Spider-man is real.

Heh, I'm reminded of the times I've hammered christ-punchers that Odin is the man, and that they are going to be sorely disappointed when they die. Makes as much sense as any of that xtian crap. And I like runes. The Elder Futhark is fun- the symbols are pretty neat. I even carved some runes into a hiking staff I used to carry when I hiked with the Boy Scouts. You can use the letters as a substitution cypher, or take the rune for the meaning and make a much shorter carving. Some of the kids  asked what the symbols were, and when I explained, I could see the hair raising on the backs of really religious type parents' necks.  Tongue

Fucking superstition. Dodgy

Do you lot stalk me online or something?

I quite often mock by invoking Odin and Thor, and tell them they had better repent or they won't get into Valhalla.

Also, if Odin and Thor don't exist, why do they have days of the week named after them?

Twisted Great minds think alike. So, when is "Jesus Day", anyway? I mean in the weekly sense, not that day that totally got made up in the Dark Ages.
