As an interesting aside (that happens to mention a historical figure and videogames)...
In the original Civilization, each computer controlled leader had an "aggression level." Gandhi was one of the possible AI controlled players. Naturally, his aggression level was set to 1 (the lowest possible setting). The thing is, when the human player installs democracy in his or her civilization, it causes all AI controlled players to have their aggression level lowered by an amount. But the computer code had a bug in it. Because Gandhi was already at the lowest possible setting, upon being lowered, his aggression level was set to 255... which was extremely high.
This resulted in Gandhi nearly ALWAYS using nuclear weapons at the drop of a hat to lay waste to anyone who didn't satisfy his numerous demands.
The developer, Firaxis, had a sense of humor about the whole thing, and in later iterations of the game, included Gandhi's willingness to nuke his opponents into oblivion as a feature of the character.
