I remember once doing a port call in Ensenada...Most of the crew ended up in Husongs and closed the place....

Screwy damn parrot...I filled her water bowl with water from the dispenser on the fridge so it's ice cold...she immediately decided it's bath time. So, as I am walking back and forth with water for the other parrot and food for both I am getting splattered with frigid bird bath water.

She doesn't do that with water out of the tap. Goofy damn animals.

We have had both for over 20 years.  The little one is an asshole and will bite the absolute shit out you and not let go if given half a chance.  The big one can be pretty funny.  I enjoy having her around.  I still need to get one of my kids to agree to taking her when I die.  She's about 30 and they can live 75 years...I am sure as hell not going to make it that much longer.

My best friend had a couple parrots over the years... He once described it's temperment as "an unruly 2 year old running about the house with a pair of side cutting pliers".

I once shared a flat with four other people, one of whom owned a mynah bird. VERY sweet natured bird - no biting or anything like that.

BUT the only sounds it could imitate were a barking dog and a police siren. Which it did over and over and over.
