Ran by the office to pick up paperwork this morning. I brought along the gifts I got for my boss, her daughter, and the guy who has trained me. I had a difficult time figuring out what to get them and decided on a selection of flavored popcorn. When I walked into the office I found gifts for all the employees, including one in my box... assortments of popcorn.

I normally spend a lot of time picking out gifts, but because my family is struggling due to the pandemic, I'm giving Visa gift cards this year. It has certainly saved time, but that's of small comfort.

After making what seems like a bazillion masks I figured out how to make quilts. Guess what my kids and their spouses are getting for Christmas. The grandkids are getting cash so they can buy whatever doodad they want to add to what shows up under the tree...clothes, video games, whatever they wanted and didn't get from Santa.

According to The Guinness Book Of World Records, The Guinness Book Of World Records holds the world record for being the best selling copyrighted book of all time.
That strikes me as suspiciously convenient.

Didja ever drop a piece of food on the kitchen floor and upon discovering it there, can't determine what exactly it is, or was, and so you're afraid to touch it because if you do you might discover that it's something that you'd rather not be touching?
Yeah, me neither.

Yeah, me neither.
We have three dogs - if something dropped is worth having, it's gone in a millisecond. Anything else is probably best swept up and tossed.

Let me tell you a true story about immunization okay? When I was a little boy in New York City in the 1940s, we swam in the Hudson River and it was filled with raw sewage okay? We swam in raw sewage! You know… to cool off! And at that time, the big fear was polio; thousands of kids died from polio every year but you know something? In my neighbourhood, no one ever got polio! No one! Ever! You know why? Cause we swam in raw sewage! It strengthened our immune systems! The polio never had a prayer; we were tempered in raw shit! So personally, I never take any special precautions against germs. I don’t shy away from people that sneeze and cough, I don’t wipe off the telephone, I don’t cover the toilet seat, and if I drop food on the floor, I pick it up and eat it! Yes I do. Even if I’m at a sidewalk café! In Calcutta! The poor section! On New Year’s morning during a soccer riot!

One of my favorite things about Pandora on shuffle is how it will throw in someone I have never heard of before. Ronnie Earl just played - another blues guitarist for me to enjoy. I figured my SRV station was the reason but when I did some digging I see he played some with Jimmie Vaughan. Sort of a six degrees of separation thing.
