Do you think introspection is useful? It seemed to work well with Immanuel Kant (I have read his pop-sci book Prologomena).

I'm ambivalent about the usefulness of introspection, myself.

There's probably no suck thing as hostile alien visitors.
Even if we lived in a sim, same deal. The fact that our sim has been running for a very long time tells us that the "hosting party" has also not been interrupted by alien invasions.

It's "no aliens" all the way down...!
