Random Thoughts
RE: Random Thoughts
Men in the past who only ever had sex with their wives for the sake of producing children, it makes one wonder if perhaps the reason was that the men were secretly gay.

When is Short.Pride Month?

Or Hazel eyes Pride month?

If we are going to have pride months for something.you were just born with - they should be included.

I always thought pride should be reserved for ACHIEVEMENT. Getting accolades for something as random as the genetics you were born with seems a bit trite.

I’m not an American, so this may be a gap in my education, but I can’t seem to recall a period in your history when short, hazel-eyed people were:

-Sold as chattel in slave markets.

-Denied housing, employment and medical care.

-Required to pass literacy tests to vote.

-Jailed for their height or eye colour.

-Told that being short and hazel-eyed was a sin.

-Subject to extrajudicial execution.

-Denied the opportunity to serve in the military.

-Made to endure discrimination specifically designed to make sure they understood that they were somehow less than human.

Ok..

But what about the fat, ugly and stupid folks?

Moron pride month?

And don' t forget the deformed and disabled.

Wouldn' t it be nicer if we just treated everyone the same and judged them by their actions - not their genetics?

I don't quite think you grasp how pride works in the context of the gay community. It's more a declaration of I'm here despite your personal ignorance against me.

That sounds an awful lot like "Look at me! Look at me!".

Doesn' t sound like the smartest of plans to me.

Boru's comments addresses this too

No, it says " look at us because you can't keep us down anymore"
