My review on Spyro the Dragon is doing good (by my standards at least since I'm still so small on YouTube) 11 views and 5 likes. Lately I've been getting a fair share of likes on my videos. The highest likes are 10 for the Monster Rancher video which was my first video back on YouTube on the new channel.

I have a date with my payee to call Social Security and see if we can get my SSI going as it have been a couple of months since we refiled.

As much as I love ordering groceries online, there can be some glitches. I often make myself little pizzas for lunch so I ordered crusts, sauce, cheese, and pepperoni as I had used up all that I had in the house. I got a text that the store is out of the sauce. Yeesh.

Thankfully I have to run to the other grocery store pharmacy, so while in there I will pick some up...along with some ground beef because apparently the store where I usually shop is out of that too.

I managed to get through my whole podcast without coughing once. Yay! Now after some editing and uploading tomorrow all my November videos will be finished and I can focus on December.

I know racists hate having brown people in their country but face it there is no single UK identity from a historical perspective.

I know racists hate having brown people in their country but face it there is no single UK identity from a historical perspective.

It may have changed since I lived there, but bigots’ preferred target in the UK wasn’t brown people, but Poles.

So, skin colour isn’t all that important - the Brits will keep digging until they find a reason to hate someone.

I'm starting to think YouTube likes WMV files better than AVI. They seem to upload faster, but at the same time the video was mostly audio with an image over it, so that may be the reason it uploaded so fast as well. More testing is needed!

Today there are over 200 nationalities in my state. Wasn't always that way.

Australia had the white Australia policy (The immigration Restriction Act of 1901) It was relaxed in 1966 and finally abolished by legislation in 1975.

Of course, we had all kinds during the gold rush of 1850, but  groups like the Chinese were not permitted to get their families, so after a while most of them just died out. 

When I was growing up Australia was pretty much an homogeneous society, with the dominant group being Anglo-Celt.

That changed a bit in the mid 1950's when we reluctantly allowed Southern Europeans, mainly Greeks and Italians. There was a severe labour shortage.

Although we allowed Greeks and Italians, we really preferred people we thought of (wrongly) as being just like us; Brits***. We encouraged them to come by subsidising their boat fare; they paid 10 pounds. That had to be repaid if they left Australia within 2 years. I knew a lot of Brits growing up. Never met one who had become an Australian citizen. Many went back to the UK in later life, having forgotten why they left.

*** We had a proportionally large Irish population until the white Australia policy was repealed.. Still a lot of us around, but proportionately not as many. That was due to the British practice of sending their criminals to Oz  until 1868.
