Definitely female, unless there has been facial reconstruction...notwithstanding the musculature. I'm at a point in my life where I can appreciate beauty, on both sides of the fence.

The picture on the phone is small and you are correct: the musculature confused me and made her look male to me.

Since we’re being random and stuff…

I was thinking that when I was about 13 years old, my momma took me to get my first pair of glasses. The eye doctor dude showed me a tiny pair of glasses and I didn’t look at them. I looked next to them. I don’t know why. I said I loved them. He offered a discount. My mom loved the discount. We bought the glasses and my mom bought him thank you flowers which my dad delivered. They were thankful about tiny glasses? Anyway, I tried them on in the car. They sure were tiny and had a little box that looked like it held a pen in it instead of friggin glasses. The lenses barely covered my eyes. My mom was so happy that I “loved” them. I… I didn’t. I looked at them in the car.

And I’ve been doing the thing ever since. Looking next to the decision and feeling too awkward to explain, so just running along with it for days, months, years, until poof! A new one happens. This time it was a nasty macaroni salad. They have promised to bring it to the holiday dinners forever now, since I loved it so much. It’s… sour, yet bland. I can’t eat two bites and love myself simultaneously. All because the doctor made too much eye contact.

Well that's two today. Had to look that up. Still don't get the joke. 

In another post, someone used 'inculcated' and correctly.  Haven't come across that for at lest 30 years.

Everyone always says that but I kinda like it. It's magic when you peel the layers and look at the moving parts of language and jokes and conventions. Like, intuitively, I can laugh right along with everyone else but what is happening with these moving parts? What assumptions am I making? What implications am I picking up on without them being explained?

It's a particular brand of fun.
