 I once had a dog who figured if he couldn't see me, I couldn't see him. I understand that's the principle used by ostriches.

My baby sis thought the same thing at about 18 months. Told she couldn't have more cake, she closed her eyes and slowly reached for the cake. Very shocked when mum grabbed her hand.
