I'm 31 years old. My bipolar disorder is very advanced, in fact my psychiatrist even said I should've been in treatment for the BD much sooner. My BD has rendered me borderline totally incapable of holding a normal job. Even when I worked at the bakery, the work was very light and my co-workers were all my friends, so there was no pressure to perform. I don't really "need" the extra money, but it does help pay for the cigarettes I smoke, as well as the food I want to eat.

People who serve years - sometimes decades - in prison for a murder they didn’t commit should be allowed one free murder.

Funny thing - I was thinking that the freebie murder would
be the interest. Real damages would be lost wages for the innocent person’s expected earnings for time incarcerated, plus, say, 50% for the trauma involved in being unjustly imprisoned. Being allowed to kill someone - the cop that framed you, the prosecutor who withheld exculpatory evidence, the witness who lied under oath - would be lagniappe.
