I live at the very edge of our subdivision. Behind the houses across the street is an alley, beyond that a greenway, then the train tracks. Some construction company has been doing - I don't know WTF - over there for weeks now. My dogs (especially Quinn) do not like big trucks and these guys have had a steady stream of concrete mixers in and out as well as other sorts of trucks and backhoes and whatnot.

My office is on the front of the house so my 'ambient music/white noise' has been dogs barking for longer than I care for. AAARRRGGGGHHHH

To make it more fun...my senior dog has taken to peeing just a little bit when she barks.

My dad is retired and just putzes around with online marketing and stocks. I'm almost glad they don't give me enough money, it's given me an incentive to be more of a whore.

We should do away with the term 'fast food'. I went to get my hair cut and after not moving the line of the first drive thru I stopped at for several minutes, I went to another fast food place nearby...same thing. The third place actually moved us through the line pretty quickly. This is why I usually give up and come home and eat a PBJ.

Since all I wanted done with my hair today was a trim...nothing fancy...my hair is long, all one length, and pretty straight, I went to a chain salon. Even if they had screwed it up a bit, it wouldn't be difficult to fix. I looked at the price and when the lady rang up the total it was less. That's when I noticed the senior discount. Not sure if I should be happy or sad.

I've got 2-1/2 years to go before I get the senior discount at the university. Given that I'm no longer eligible for financial aid, I'm greatly looking forward to it. Ten credits a quarter on a shoestring and I'll be euphoric.

My wife was pretty upset when she went to the grocery store and the bag person called her "ma'am" instead of "miss". She was married, by then. Maybe they were looking at the 17 diamonds on her wedding ring. I sold my '40 Chevy gasser dragster to pay for that! My mom couldn't believe it. I got good mileage- we've been married 41 years as of last February.
