Good thing we haven't used cable service in forever, because I'd be boycotting HBO for supporting J.K. Rowling to express her opinion.

The wireless meat thermometers are going on sale. One I like dropped today. I'm still debating. I like my wired thermometer fine, I may just get the newer version with the upgraded probes and pocket $50.

Yeah, Craig Ferguson said many times in his show how the first fart after colonoscopy smells like an old woman's purse - or something like that.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

They wouldn't let me go until I farted. Post anesthesia amnesia stopped any memory of it, not asking my wife.

Did someone have to stand there, listening attentively for the fart sound?

Yes, my wife. I'm not sure why the staff found her trustworthy, at least when it comes to my farting.

I haven't even gotten ready for work yet, and I'm already tired.

Number of things that need to be done - more than I can count.
Motivation to do any of the things - zero.
