I can personally think whatever I want about a theist, including that s/he's a twat simply for their belief system, but what matters is how I respectfully treat the person to their face.

I agree that polite and civil disagreement is generally a good thing.
Except when it isn't.
But in most normal personal interactions I try to be polite and civil with everyone.

I think there may be a misreading of my passive aggressive sarcasm for overreacting. But fair enough.

So what other factors are at play for my posts to imply that I'm under 18? So far we have my username and that I'm a nihilist.

I'm an atheist and a Taoist, but neither are really relevant.  The animus stems from a belief that discriminating against people based upon religious belief is itself as harmful as discriminating on the basis of skin color, sex, or sexual orientation.  It comes from a commitment to liberty which is underwritten by a vague utilitarianism.

Interestingly I have the same commitment.
But what unjust discrimination do you think I've proposed?

Perhaps that's a discussion for another day. I am intentionally withdrawing from debate this week to manage my emotional health. I'm celebrating the birthday of my twin sisters this weekend and due to various factors, it's been very stressful.
