Militant Atheism?

Do you think that participation here is indicative of something more than a purely theistic or Biblical objection, or as I suspect, a sociopolitical objection?

More intriguing to me is why a believer would go to an atheist forum and lecture them on how wrong they are. For all my faults, arrogance is not one of them.

Apparently they think any community of atheists is, ipso facto, unschooled in sacred scripture when precisely the opposite is more likely the case. It takes about five minutes to get them to deny the literal truth of their own texts.

Honestly, the guy reminds me of @Barry.

He reminds me of @Ahriman -- he seems unable to decide on a story and stick to it. Similar passive-aggression, too.

My experience, offline, including my personal experience, is that the majority of atheists don't care about God. Don't have an opinion to speak of, don't concern themselves with any intrusions caused by it, don't trust "science" any more than "religion." Wouldn't spend a minute on a forum like this, in fact, would think it a stupid waste of time. My experience online is quite different. I refer to the later, those who post on forums like this, as militant atheism. They typically don't react well to that, naturally, but hell, they typically don't react too well to anything this militant theist says. 

Let's set aside God for a while and talk atheism.

Nothing more, but really, posting on a forum like this reflective of that? Of nothing except a rejection of gods? 

Please don't respond with just personal attacks unless you have something more substantial to say. That sort of response only masks something else.

To learn, isn't that obvious? I've learned more about the Bible, religion, myself, atheists, people in general and religion discussing with atheists than I ever did through intense book learnin' stuff. Grammar, math . . . not so much but that's just me.

You asking me? Whatever the forum rules and mods will allow. My experience on forums like this is that attacks by atheists are allowed, but theists will be removed if they retaliate in kind. Especially if they are good. And I'm good. 

I don't care what you say about me but I try to ignore shit that has no substance. Attack away, but say something relevant or sensible. You want a scapegoat? Don't bore me.

Really? I would think it’d make you realize the we don’t ban people for their beliefs here. As long as you can express yourself without running afoul of our rules, you’ll be fine.

So far, I haven’t seen anything in your posts that would merit a ban, or even a warning.
