Who or what created the universe

Regardless of why the universe was created or how it was created, it's probably best for an individual to hold a belief about the origin of the universe that empowers the individual. Magical thinking can be utilized, possibly. I don't see why not. What doesn't make a whole lot of sense, is that some people choose to accept the idea that the universe was not created, but in fact merely came into existence for no actual reason. I don't see how the belief I just mentioned can be beneficial for a person.

There is another option.
The we do not know answer which is more reasonable.
Science has a long way to go in understanding most things, but it is silly to concoct a magical thinking answer because people are too impatient to wait for it.

People have been "waiting" for science to figure everything out for thousands of years. What are they waiting for? Don't wait, just go ahead and have whatever empowering belief you want to have, it doesn't matter if the scientific community wouldn't approve of your belief, the scientific community is not God (in any sense of the word) and does not hold a monopoly on truth and reason.

The Universe was not created but has always existed. Before the expansion (Big Bang) it was a clump of matter although very dense. So the universe had a beginning but not a creation.

It seems some people are tired of waiting for God to show up, and that's why you have the Trump personality cult. This idea (the TPC) is not acceptable, as far as I'm concerned, because it is not an empowering belief.
