No one is an atheist

In the strictest sense atheism is simply the lack of belief in a god. Theism is a belief system whereas atheism is a lack of that belief system. It's similar to describing a "dark" room, the word "dark" is a word we've invented to describe the lack of light.

You can infer nothing more about atheists other than their lack of belief in god, the definition simply does not cover anything else.

From my own personal experience people who push the issue that atheism is a belief system are theists with an agenda of trying to convince people that atheism is a strong position, one that needs justification for holding, which it's not. The reason this is done in my opinion is because many theists simply cannot justify their position to rational thinkers so they need to attack the opposite position saying it requires just as much faith, which is of course nonsense, nor does this type of argument sway rational/sceptical thinkers, we tend to believe X based on he merit of X and not the relative merit of alternatives Y, often leading to us believe niether X nor Y until there is more reason to do so.

Rejection of X does not imply belief of Y in this case, it's perfectly reasonable to reject both X and Y until there is sufficient reason to justify belief.

OMG, you are RIGHT Bliss. What was I thinking?!?!?!?!?! All this time I was like "God and Jesus sure sounded fictional when I read that bible" it was really a reflection of my own COWARDICE!!!!! You are so right!!! Anyone who calls themselves an atheist is a coward who doesnt want their beliefs questioned!!!1!1!!1!!11!eleventyone!!! Atheism is just a religion of cowardice and fear of having our religious beliefs questioned!!1!1

Thanks Bliss. You just converted me to Catholicism!!!!!!!1!1!!!!

What do I do now that I am saved and have my courage back again?

Atheism is fashionable right now isn't it? When you think of all the encompassed ideologies that have so much merit on their own, strange people should wish to attach to such a non stance. All of our weaknesses and strengths may be better understood without the fake atheist/ theist divide.

No..Min, No!. He is NOT a hit and run, text and go spammer. That is something a cowardly atheist who didnt want his religion questioned would do.

Bliss is different, he is courageous and stands true to allowing his religion to be questioned...not like those coward atheists.

Bliss will stand strong and show everyone he isnt a hypocrite by spamming and leaving like some coward atheist that doesnt exist. Bliss is Catholic, which means he is better than that.

I have beliefs. I believe that coffee was the best 'accidental' horticultural discovery, beer waste is a sin (especially Guinness), and that one day Gerard Butler is going to pause his busy schedule and bring that incredibly attractive Scottish accent of his to my door and tell me he's all mine for the next two nights.

So you see I freely admit I have beliefs, but the first I can formulate from opinions based on historical data, the second from real anecdotal experience, and the third is as irrational as your god-belief, but unlike yours has a chance in hell of coming true.

Welcome, thank you for the arrogant suppositions...I hope you had fun during your brief wanking session at riling everyone up.
