Asperger's is now classified as Autism ... I'm "on the spectrum". Researcher's have identified what they call the "Autism brain". Autism is thought to be caused by the womb chemistry of the mother ... hence the reason why there are often several children with autism in the same family. My brother ... and a cousin, who is a university professor ... also have Asperger's. Several of the descendants of my grandmother's sister, who emigrated to Australia, are Aspies. My brother never said a word to people outside the immediate family until he was ten. He saw a child psychiatrist every two weeks for 5 years...and never said a word to her. An IQ test found that he had a 150+ IQ. He could read by the time he was 3. Within the immediate family he spoke normally, even in the presence of other people.

Well I don't have good book smarts but my general intelligence is above average, easily.

And here's me struggling along with my 128. I'm humbled.

As a senior citizen from the UK, do you support the Tories?

I've never voted. There is one politician I might vote for though if he was a candidate in my local constituency ... James Cleverly. When asked if he believed in God. He simply said "No". He didn't have a religious upbringing. His talents and "social awareness" are such that if he were to form his own party I would enthusiastically support him. I am not a "Socialist" inasmuch that I do not follow any "ideology".

Your brother sounds a lot like me when I was younger.

But why the quotes for "have"? I have a headache. I have incredible charm. I have to make Cornish game hens for supper. Just wondering.

So, ... you went from the age of 17 until now, 2 "episodes", and no other symptoms for all these years ?
May I ask who (which specialty") made your diagnosis, and when ?  Just curious. We have autism in the family.
Welcome.

More like, if you don't vote, you're agreeing with the majority, which is almost the same as voting for the party that wins.

Most likely, if you don't vote you don't give a fuck, but will complain loudly if things aren't going your way.
