Exactly. You can’t build a great movie on GCI alone.

Movies already set for release in 2026:
• Shrek 5
• Avengers 5
• Toy Story 5
• The Batman 2
• Jordan Peele’s next film
• Dune Messiah (rumored)
• Live-action Moana movie
• The Mandalorian & Grogu
• The Super Mario Bros Movie 2
• The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Guess I can plan to spend my money somewhere other than the movie theater...what a yawn fest.

A remake of the Sergio Leone classic A Fistful of Dollars is in the works, dammit.
To forestall being lectured, yes, I know that Leone's film is itself a remake. Not the point.

I thought the last Shrek film was the LAST Shrek film?
I guess they can't let that particular money cow die without milking it one last(?) time...

What's with the ‘Fantastic Voyage’ obsession?
Quote:Roland Emmerich Calls James Cameron “Very Overbearing,” Explains Why He Exited ‘Fantastic Voyage’
During a conversation between filmmakers Emmerich and Antoine Fuqua at San Diego Comic-Con, director Louis Leterrier appeared via video to ask Emmerich about the long-gestating remake of the 1966 film Fantastic Voyage that Cameron has been trying to get off the ground.
“James Cameron is very overbearing, and so I, at one point, just gave up,” Emmerich replied during Collider’s Directors on Directing event, leading to laughter from the audience. “Because it’s like, ‘Is it your movie or my movie?'”
A number of directors have since eyed the project, including Paul Greengrass, Shawn Levy and Guillermo del Toro.
During an April event at Cinematheque Francaise in Paris, Cameron spoke about the status of his Fantastic Voyage remake. He noted that, while the film had been in development for quite some time, he still hoped to move forward with it soon.

Coppola is a horny old dog
Quote:Francis Ford Coppola was seen 'trying to kiss young female extras' in shocking new footage of the Oscar-winning director on set of his upcoming sci-fi epic, Megalopolis.
Earlier this year in May, the 85-year-old filmmaker was initially accused of attempting 'to kiss topless and scantily clad female extras' during production of the movie - which is set to hit theaters later this year on September 27.
And on Friday, Variety obtained two videos that had been taken by a crew member on set of Megalopolis last year in February while shooting a nightclub scene.
In the clips, Coppola could be seen strolling through a crowded dance floor filled with female extras as music blared loudly from speakers - and seemingly approached a few while trying to kiss and hug them.
