What are you calling Christian propaganda? A three-year-old is barely putting sentences together, so no they're not exactly parsing the sermon at church.

I'm sure advertisers don't spend all of those millions of dollars without the supporting statistics which confirm that their advertising works, even if it is just registering their products in the minds of the public through mindless repetitions, earworms, and mnemonics. At the very minimum, they are trying to prioritize their products.

Yet from a coercion standpoint, it’s phenomenally effective. The effectiveness of advertising demonstrates, once again, that you don’t know what the ever-loving fuck you’re talking about.
Boru One of the most efficacious tactics in advertising is to appeal to the emotions of your target audience. though in the case of religious indoctrination there are longstanding trends of getting people as young as possible, as others have pointed out, it is hard to resist propaganda and indoctrination when you have no idea what it is, as a small child would not, of course.
There is also outright chicanery of course, I mean people don't travel to Lourdes because they think miracles are irrational hokum, yet they are.
Though adults can be very suggestible as well of course, and again appealing to the emotional needs of a target is very effective and powerful way to indoctrinate them. It isn't only religions that have utilised this of course.

Thump was exaggerating for effect. Obviously Christians target a range of ages with different techniques.
"God is love" isn't that hard to understand emotionally, even if it makes no real sense rationally.

Is that what you guys are calling propaganda? There has to be room here for people to hold beliefs that are different than yours without perceiving it as manipulation or coercion.

Nah in this case it's both.

I came up with an example of something which might be understandable to a three-year-old. Santa Claus as a training-God also comes to mind.
The point isn't so much the degree of inaccuracy involved in "God is love" as the end point, which is a whole picture made up of little more than mutually-supporting assumptions, a complete worldview without much to support it otherwise by any modern standards. Christians pull people in a little at a time, starting with social or emotional appeals.
To say "God is love" is like saying "God created you," when love is a human emotion and your parents created you. All those little inaccuracies add up to where some people credit God with all that is good in the world, and do not, in fact, give credit where credit is due -- to humans. Christians slowly replace real human relationships with a "relationship with God," even while professing to love their neighbors and enemies from their assumed superior position. They then think spreading Christianity is an expression of that love, so it really is circular.
Atheists typically oppose theistic beliefs for what we think are good reasons, not the least of which is prejudice against atheists. You shouldn't be surprised.

Jews: Were they responsible for the death of Jesus Christ? And other millennia-old blood libels that are held as literal gospel truths.

Christian Propaganda Directed At Three Year Olds
-Jesus loves you.
-Granny lives up in Heaven now.
-If you’re very, very good, someday you’ll get to go to Heaven and see Granny.
-Be sure to say your prayers.
-God made the world.
-We say grace to thank God for all this lovely food.
-Put your penny in the collection plate so they can give it to God.
