Open AI answer to my question "how old is life on earth?"
how old is life on earth ?

ChatGPT said:
Life on Earth is estimated to be about 3.5 to 4 billion years old.
Here's the timeline in a nutshell:
  • 🌍 Earth formed: ~4.54 billion years ago
  • 🧫 Earliest evidence of life: ~3.5 to 3.8 billion years ago
    • These were simple, single-celled organisms like bacteria
  • 🌿 Complex life (multicellular organisms): ~600 million years ago
  • 🦖 Dinosaurs: ~230 to 66 million years ago
  • 🧠 Humans (Homo sapiens): ~300,000 years ago
Life started very simply and gradually evolved over billions of years into the complexity we see today.

So dinosaurs lived on earth for over 500 times longer than people. Cool.

This is just too bloody obvious. Maybe try asking it something a bit more controversial, like “Did Elliott Smith kill himself?” Maybe see how far you can take it before it just shits the bed. Or when you start wondering if Rivers Cuomo is in on ChatGPT’s censorship.

Better questions to ask:

- Who really killed Johnny Ringo?

-Where can I get a really good liver and sardine soufflé?

-If I can’t see it, is the brain damage really that bad?

-Why would a woodchuck chuck wood in the first place?

-I want to disable SkyNet from my cell phone. Is there an app for that?

(The more I learn about ChatGPT, the more I hate it.)
