All of this meddling and game playing trying to get Red to go to church is only going to have a negative effect. If anything will push someone further away from the church, it's having it forced on them. This is why my wife, who would like for me to be religious again, doesn't press the matter and only asks that I go on Easter and Christmas. But right now she's been at church for 2 1/2 hours while I've been at home with the baby who fell asleep just after she left.

Hang in there, Red. Just think about how great it will be when you start going to college and get out on your own.

I suspected there was more going on in the background..that they didnt just spontaneously make you sign a contract. I think they have been having talks with much more people than you think, and that they are more than likely going to work with your parents in order to give you no other choice.

I would FULLY expect your parents to meddle in your love life next. They will insist that you marry some friends (whom they have probably already had discussions with) daughter from that same church. The idea is, if you force the boy to go to church, force him to act like he likes it, and then give him no other choice but to marry a member of the church, then things will take their course and pregnancy will happen, then the church will insist the children are raised up catholic as well. In other words, they are trying to set you up for a lifetime.

Are you saving that money? They have your boss and the workers on their side as well. So much for you getting any overtime, and you are available all weekend for church. Savings will be tight...get that money together man..save save save and get the fuck out of there and find another job.

You obviously cant get a job under your parents roof, as they will surely find out were you work and visit your boss. You do NOt want that to happen.

P.S. - Time for you to find a good way to hide your money and make it look like it was spent. I fully expect your parents to stick their noses into your finances soon. They know just a contract will not do it. They have to ECONOMICALLY break you as well to break your spirits. At first I kind of wondered if they were doing it to get you to move out quicker, but now I am more on the side that isnt what they want. Apparently the church society is EXTREMELY important to them, and they are trying to web you up into it.

I don't get it. Just tell them you're not going to church. If they lay a hand on you - you press charges. If they kick you out - you leave and be poor for awhile until you get on your feet. its sad... i take anti-depressants but i'm still having depressing suicidal thoughts. gee wiz it don't take a brain scientist to figure out what the problem is.

after graduation i'm out of here. why? becuase if i leave now i don't get a graduation party. i will be pissed if someone give me a jesus figurine or some crucifix.
speaking of crucifix in 6th grade when i figured religion is dumb i boxed all my religious crap and hid it in the attic.
