This atheist is embarrassing, and I don't like her. Here's why.

Here's a clip from it. Doesn't show everything of course, but is a general example how how she carries and argues throughout.

Yeah, that's pretty unsatisfying.

I find that video debates are seldom helpful. The pressure to speak fast and simplify ideas that shouldn't be simplified tends to lower the level. In this case, they touch on points that are good to work on -- such as the difference between subjective and objective morality. In a moderated classroom setting, it would help a lot to work out what people mean by those terms, when and where they apply, and a number of other serious questions. But in the video they're pretty much just shouting and not letting each other finish a sentence, much less develop an idea that isn't obvious to someone who hasn't heard it before.

I hope that in her other videos she's less caffeinated and more thoughtful. In this one, you're right, she isn't presenting atheist arguments in their best light.

Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever seen a video debate on theology that was worth watching. There are lectures on video from knowledgable people, and podcasts in which people allow each other to speak, and those can be good. (On history topics, William Dalrymple's series of podcasts is superb.) But Born Again Atheist could use some lessons on how to get her points across more persuasively.

I am unsure how true this is, however according to him, she almost canceled the debate, and would only do it, if it was not moderated.

I mean, seeing how she behaves, I am inclined to believe he is telling the truth.

I can't really tell from the shorter clip, but he certainly comes across as calmer and more serious than she is.

Once in a while you come across someone who is so sure she is right that she doesn't even need to formulate an argument, or rebut the other side. She doesn't give us the chance to hear whether he has good arguments or not.
