It is part of my general Christian theistic view of the relationship between the world and human beings, as well as being a presupposition which is required to bring coherence to the inferences that we naturally make from our experiences.

Bit confused here...the whole thread is about whether experience and testimony really prove anything - that is the question being discussed. On my view, there is an external reality which we can know by experience and (to a lesser extent) testimony. But I accept that because of God, who has created us with a purpose to loving (and therefore, knowing) realities other than ourselves - the world, other people, and God Himself. I am asking the skeptical question because I want to know on your various views of the world how you justify belief in an external reality.

Plausibility. If the side of one argument becomes more sophistry than logical discourse and the other side of that argument is unprovable and yet grounded in a known reality - many (dare I say most) who realize that their choice may yet be in error would still rather error on the side of plausibility.

What kind of "test" do you have in mind? Is it possible to "test" metaphysical naturalism, or any other non-theistic view?

Yes, as the natural World consists of "mechanical properties amenable to mathematical modeling", which are testable.

How can you possibley test something that is non-material & be certain that the answer will be correct.
