auwww yes,
Sometimes I really miss the old faith. I'm taken back to a time when I wasn't allowed to listen to any kind of secular music, or go to the movie theater, or watch sit-coms on TV, or attend a public high school, or go over to a friend's house because his parents were Lutheran. I remember my mom only being allowed to wear dresses down to her heels and my sister being punished for holding a boy's hand. I remember those wonderful times when my dad would pray for the waitress tending our table while she was standing right there. I remember being told that I was the "salt of the earth" and that I should feel proud when someone mocks me and constantly being reminded that god gives us hardships to show how much he loves us. Auwwww yes, those wonderful times. I remember being terrified that god might send a 6 year-old to hell for being sinful. O yeah, I sometimes really miss that peaceful love of god.

Yeah, for a while. But my best argument for the reason I don't anymore is that a long time ago, people accredited everything to god. Day, night, the seasons, EVERYTHING. Later, we found practical explanations for these things. Now, people credit god with creating the universe, life, etc. And I'm confident that sometime in the future, we will find explanations for those, too. I believed in a god before I was smart enough to think logically. If only others could do the same...

I was a truly devoted Mormon at one time and believed I had a personal relationship with Jesus until that took about 5 years to all fall apart piece by piece.
So yes, I was.

That is because according to Christians the evil in the world comes from Satan because Adam partook of the fruit.
