Done, but some of those questions........

Though in the U.S they would make sense.

I think.....

Yeah, I actually got confused by some of the questions. As you said, they were more of a U.S thing.
Quote:"I think it's perfectly possible to explain how the universe came about without bringing God into it, but I don't know everything, and there may well be a God somewhere, hiding away. Actually, if he is keeping out of sight, it's because he's ashamed of his followers and all the cruelty and ignorance they're responsible for promoting in his name. If I were him, I'd want nothing to do with them."

I agree, most of the questions seemed to indicate that being an atheist was something to be ashamed of or could affect your standing in the community if you were to admit it. This I think is particularly an American and/or third world country thing as I could parade around Britain with my Atheist t-shirts on (which indeed I do) and no-one would take any notice and quite frankly, the idea that I could loose friends or not be able to get a job just because I was atheist seems bizarre in the extreme!

I had to strongly disagree with a lot of it because it was trying to obtain feelings of oppression of atheists and in the uk there is none that i have ever encountered or heard of.

You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid.

It isn't an American thing to my knowledge. I strongly disagreed quite a bit. Perhaps that is because I don't live in the South and I am also very outspoken about what I think, whether people like it or not.
