Can you help me with some primary research?
Hi guys
I am proposing an app (all platforms), for a piece of university Coursework, that would effectively allow you to see the artist at a rock concert/festival when you on the back or have some tall guy blocking your view e.c.t. But using a remote camera in a good position to see them.
My questions are this:
1: Would you download an app like that?
2: if it was a pay per view, at a set price how much would you be willing to spend? (In numerical values please in either Pounds, US Dollars or Euros (preferably pounds)
3: what other features would you want to be included (like an inbuilt instant messager to talk to fellow fans/ the band or recording feature inbuild so you would not have to raise your mobile 10 feet in the air?)
If you could talk the time to answer I would be most grateful and preferably by this Sunday(15/12/2013.
Cheers

1: Would you download an app like that? I suppose I would, since the idea is not in use outside of television. Twitch TV has similar functionality, but I do not remember them hosting concerts.
2: if it was a pay per view, at a set price how much would you be willing to spend (in numerical values please in either Pounds, US Dollars or Euros (preferably pounds)? I would spend up to $5 (I would have found it more valuable if not for YouTube). $5 is pretty fair for pay-per-view access. I do not have an exact figure in my head, as you need to charge people every time they enter a concert because of the upkeep costs from bandwidth.
3: what other features would you want to be included (like an inbuilt instant messager to talk to fellow fans/ the band or recording feature inbuild so you would not have to raise your mobile 10 feet in the air?) I think the features you mentioned are decent enough.

It would be linked to the camera via Wifi which would use a QR code as the password, so no you would have to be at the event. I was also thinking that you could pay a little extra on the ticket to use it as a thought.

How do you prevent people from sending the QR code or the password to a bunch of friends at home?
One ticket, many viewers!

The app would have the QR reader built into it and Code would be at the event, also the stream would not be connected to the internet also even if they did the stream would be audioless as you're there to listen to the live music the app would help the visual side only, if you want to record it it would record from the device's own microphone like a normal recording. Also the stream would be available from the Camerers dedicated WIFI only.

So.. it's not something to actually accomplish?

I rarely do concerts and, when I do, they're classical music or on concert halls small enough to render such an app unnecessary.
So, in a word, no.

Should be included in the ticket price. Wink
I'm sure 0.5€ extra on the ticket wouldn't hurt much...

Take photos.
Not sure you'd want to save video... it would be on youtube the very next minute.
Turn on the LED... simulate the lighter! Tongue
