My thoughts exactly. Why would I look forward to... the cessation of all perception? I quite like being alive.

Sometimes, that's probably quite sad because I'm only 18 Big Grin

I look forward to a Death before I get to the stage of my life where I'm no longer happy Big Grin

And atm I'm happy so its not a problem for me

I think that is the point. It is an end to all pleasantness, sure, but it also an end to stress, anxiety, depression, etc. I can see how a person might look forward to a permanent and total vacation.

I can look back at death. Why would I want to die now that I have utter control over this platform? I could certainly see myself killing off this platform after getting a new one... but unless I can get a better one inside of 7 years: I'm not particularly interested.

I'll have my fun and die someday. I don't have the patience to look forward to death. Have plenty of reason to look forward to being able to... do everything... just as I would like. One could say I look forward to life, but I am too similar to think of as nonlife Smile

I am not looking forward to oblivion. I've been there for billions of years, I'd like to take advantage of this existence for as long as possible.
Why do you look forward to going back into oblivion? I'd like to delay it for as long as possible. I'd want to delay going back into scattered molecules and atoms. I like having the ability to think. I am a someone rather than a something. I know I'll have to do back into a something again, but at least I was a someone once. Tongue

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.

Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.

You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.

I wouldn't say I look forward to death. But if I was to get ranover by a bus tomorrow, it's not exactly like i'd be able to think to myself "awww shiiiit". If it happens it happens, I wouldn't be disappointed because that would be impossible Smile

That is quite true. I was answering the question directly. I, personally, do not look forward to the end of all perception and sensation. There are certainly those that do, which is why I was always an avid Kevorkian supporter. Heheh.
