My problem with what Roger Ebert had to say was that it was disrespectful to the family and friends mourning his loss who had absolutely nothing to do with him driving drunk. I feel bad for him. I often do feel bad for those who die young. People make mistakes their whole lives long. I don't wish short lives on many people.

It is sad when people die young. When you're driving with a blood alcohol of .196 and doing 140 mph, however, that is not a mistake. It is a conscious, stupid decision.

Agreed. I have no sympathy.

Usually, this story of a drunk driver travelling at 140mph ends with crashing into a packed family minivan. I'm glad he took out himself.

My only sadness is that he took out his passenger as well.
