Ah....that explains much, Young Jedi.

I'm involved in a discussion on another board in which a crazy xtian is arguing with a mormon and pointing out all the absurdities of mormon "theology." My job is to point out that xtian theologies are just as stupid...if not more so...than the mormon derivatives.

Welcome to the forum. Cool story. I know a Mormon, just one. He too is stupid (but very nice).

I'm there under a different name. My guess is you'll figure it out in a moment. "Stephen" is one of the stupidest people I have ever run across on the web. He ( almost ) makes Godschild look wise. ( Key word "almost.")

The threads in question are the active ones.

Stephen would not last a day here. He can't open his mouth without preaching.

What's the forum minimum waiting period before you can start tearing into someone btw? Are there forms I need to fill out, a background check to submit one's self too...what's the story here, whats next?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Excellent detective work.

"Oy Veder" is actually a sock puppet I developed at Koko's because "Stephen" and another fundie nut who styled himself "archaeologist" were always "interpreting" Jewish scripture to their own ends. Oy ( who was based on a guy I worked with ) provided a few "Jewish" readings of those same texts and those two lost their fucking minds. It's about 5 years later and neither of them ever caught on.

One time at Koko's I sat with my wife's computer signed on as Oy and had a 3-way conversation with Arch and Min in real time. That was fun. Wonderful what you can do with proxy servers!

I'm not sure if they are accepting new members. Koreabridge has kept that site open but it has moved on. I'm not really sure why they bother except the admin "Charles" seems to enjoy it when Stephen gets shit on. I never joined because their original policy was that everyone was on moderated posting meaning that all posts had to be approved by a moderator before appearing on the board. That stifled the conversation too much so I moved Oy over there just to keep popping Stephen on occasion.

Oy is always polite...always capitalizes Jesus and spells out Christian unlike me. That has apparently been enough....along with a couple of yiddish phrases that I picked up living in NY...to fool those two schlemiels!

I can't help but notice that Oy isn't pretending to be Jewish. Originally, I thought he was a orthodox Jew who could be used to debate with Christians over what the OT really says and why Christian claims to be the successor religion are bullshit.

No, no....Oy is a secular Jew who has rejected all that nonsense. As I said, he was based on a guy I worked with. This poor bastard would go home to where his mother kept a kosher kitchen yet when we went out to lunch he'd order fresh ham! But Stevie and Arch didn't know WTF to do with him because he'd trot out some rabbi ( Google is a wonderful thing) who would blast their xtian bullshit to pieces. It's amazing what you can do with those shitheads just by pointing out that "jesus" totally failed to achieve the goals that any self-respecting messiah was expected to do.

Then I would come back in as Min and warn them to "stop telling Jews how to be Jews." Ah--- the good old days.
