Games are always dumbed down on consoles to compensate for the poor controller aiming features.

Actrually I am talking about both the software and the hardware. Because the controllers suck, the software makers make the aiming easier or give more hitpoints in games where a pc game with mouse aim wouldn't have to. Or they resort to auto-aim whis sucks even more balls.

I love the Xbox, and I can always aim fine in Oblivion and Halo 3. Practice makes perfect, and some people just don't want to practice.

I think you misread me Adrian, on the Xbox the aiming is made easier, not harder.

Fair enough but on the the plus side I really like easy gaming ... it completely arses me off if a game is too difficult.
It's because (I suppose) I am not really a gamer ... I just pick up games occasionally and play them and rarely get obsessed with them. The last game I was obsessed with was "The Force Unleashed" on xBox which isn't very hard (except for the last level at which I got bored) ... I thought it was just LucasArts games which always struck me as a bit ... well ... simplistic.

I have played countless games...hundreds (and more) and like 100 I played an awful lot each. But there are only a handful of games I was really big on and only about 5-10 I adored for single player. About 3 I loved for multiplayer, (AoC, CoD2 and Starcraft), 2 I played a lot multiplayer (AoC and CoD2) and one I played an absurd amount an adored to an almost unbelievable extent (AoC).
And for me Multiplayer>singleplayer.
Also, although I have played a lot of games, I also prefer to stick to one - if it's awesome enough to me, as you can see. Messing about on games I can't do now - that's why I haven't played new games in years - the multiplayer experience has been so compelling I can't go back to doing that. It feels totally empty and pointless, not fun.
If I had the time I'd just play AoC some more.
Next new game I'd want to buy is Halo Wars which is Bungee who do Halo (of course) but also the makers of AoC (and the other AoE games)! Ensemble studios.
I certainly don't expect it to be as good as AoC but I want to try it.

Has anyone here have experience with webcams under Mint or Ubuntu?
I can't seem to make it work with Mint. Capturing or using the upload feature of Youtube does work with Windows but the Logitech led just stays lit and I cant see anything in Kino.
