Also called "Pint Sized Preachers", these are children - often very young children = preschoolers - who get up in front of congregations to preach.

I doubt many of the readers of this forum would consider them miracles. Are these child protégées or victims of abuse from their overly-religious parents and churches looking for "miracles"?

I don't know that I'd go so far as abuse. It's definitely sinister.

I once saw a documentary about a child preacher. He was about 12,and his younger brother was also a preacher.

The father came across as complete loon,and the two kids seemed quite disturbed. I definitely consider it a form of child abuse (at least in that case) Just as I do child beauty pageants,which I think are downright creepy. The appalling mothers simply do not bear thinking about.


That CHILD is four? Jesus wept. (if you'll forgive the expression)

I actually don't like seeing children as small as 5-year-olds preaching like that in front of a congregation.

I think it looks stupid, fake, and it takes away the fun moments of their childhood. Also, they will grow up and think that this was only for competition and popularity and nothing else. It is better for them to grow older and preach only if they want to, under the motivation of their own learning and their beliefs, and not forced to do so by their parents or anyone else.
