Scientific Knowledge? If there is no God?
#31
RE: Scientific Knowledge? If there is no God?
Evidence?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Before the big bang? From what I unerstand time didn't exist until the big bang. Saying, "Before the big bang" is like saying colder than 0 Kelvin. Sure it forms a sentence but is not comprehendable.

"Farther north than the north pole"

Actually you can go further North than the North pole. You see, the earth is hollow so it just takes you into the hole on top and you go inside the Earth.

Here is the evidence: http://www.ourhollowearth.com/PolarOpn.htm

I am, of course, totally joking! I don't believe the world is hollow. Smile I don't care what Admiral Byrd says.

Did I not clarify that I did not believe in the BB? when I say before, I mean the 13.7 Billion year timeline (also ridiculous) that they've given the universe.

However the point of the thread is, is there order in the universe, I believe there is.

Order in the universe? Yep I think there is order based on the stochastic processes of nature and natural selection.

I agree, but for me any order at all to exist means a force of will favouring said order, order cannot come from pure chaos it's too random.

More importantly do you see evidence of order in the the universe at an atomic and elemental level?

Yep, the fact that electrons evidently gather in shells to facilitate bonding between other elements.

Snowflakes have no reason to form crystals but they do. What purpose do snowflakes serve? I like teleological arguments, they are fun. For example have you every thought about the shape of a banana and how it fits so nicely in your hand?

I have an argument very much like the banana argument about a certain thing that seems to fit perfectly in my hand.
