God: Misinterpreted as an extraterrestrial?
RE: God: Misinterpreted as an extraterrestrial?
Vader 109:30 (approx)
"No, Luke - I am your father."

See, you're not the only one who can spout irrelevant and out-of-context literary quotations. Ok I'm stretching the definition of literature to make a point, but hey I'm a godless sinner; you know how immoral and evil we are.

The evidence has to come through Him. You find Jesus by praying to Him and asking Him to enter into your life and then to let Him take it over. There is no use praying this prayer unless you're willing to turn yourself and your life over to God completely.

Translation: "You will never see any evidence until you're one of us; you can never be one of us until you surrender this annoying habit of asking for evidence." We're back on the Magic Roundabout.

Can you imagine if the peer review process worked like this? Einstein throwing a paddy because other scientists dare to check his equations? Stephen Hawking writing shitty blogposts about how mean the scientific community is because they insist on evidence for black holes and singularites and whatnot, instead of simply having faith and taking his word for it just because he's got a PhD?
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

I made claims to lines of evidence, which you're not interested in hearing about. I never claimed to be able to prove God to you. If I did then please quote me.

Only God can prove God, and I told you exactly how to reach Him. If you don't want to investigate that, ie, you don't really want to know if there is a God or not, then what are you complaining about? You claim you want evidence but you're unwilling to do the one thing that would provide that evidence.

You aren't going to present any of the evidence asked of you until I've accepted christ as lord? Pretty sure you just sunk your own battleship on that one. I'm going to have to file you away with the rest of the "less than honest" fundies that made claims to evidence that they did not actually possess. I'd love to be proven wrong, not going to hold my breath on that one though.

Must be it. What you've presented couldn't possibly be anything other than exactly what you claim it to be. I couldn't possibly be interested in evidence at all. I keep posting;

Cheeseburgers?

If the only way to find evidence, that genesis is factually accurate (or any of the bible for that matter) or indeed for the existence of god herself is to swallow the koolaid? Perhaps you see the problem in your argument. That's what you have. An argument, not evidence.

I have seen hours of Ancient Alien documentaries, read articles etc... I have concluded that it's a possibility. But wtf do I know...

The ancient aliens crowd is a bit loopy. You have to take some pretty severe artistic license to argue the case.

You're a reasonable, rational person right? How are you going to be fooled? I'm not arguing so much as just pointing you towards the truth. This is what God said it takes..if there is any testimony that should be accurate about it, it is Gods own words:

Hebrews 11:6

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

It isn't logical to seek out a God you don't believe even exists..but if you're willing to open your mind to the possibility it is true, and if it is true you are truly willing to give your life over to Him, then you will get your evidence. That's what it takes according to Gods own words, so that is the best you're going to get. If you're not willing to do what God said to do to know Him, then you're not really interested in the truth.

Your claims status as "truth" is exactly what is in question.

Evidence that these are gods own words? From where I stand they're yours. Not being interested in bullshit in no way prevents me from being interested in anything else. It's not even accurate to say that I'm not interested in bullshit, because here I am entertaining your arguments.
