God: Misinterpreted as an extraterrestrial?
RE: God: Misinterpreted as an extraterrestrial?
Just try using logic..if Jesus is God, then the bible is true and those are His words..therefore, the way to know Jesus is to follow His words. So, if you want evidence, that is the way to get it.

Evidence that these are gods own words? From where I stand they're yours. Not being interested in bullshit in no way prevents me from being interested in anything else. It's not even accurate to say that I'm not interested in bullshit, because here I am entertaining your arguments.

Your "If" is where evidence is required. Whatever follows the "if" is going to pretty empty without it.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

It's really quite simple..Jesus told us that the only way to know God is through Him. He told us the only way to know Him is to ask Him to enter your life and to turn yourself and your life over to Him. So, the evidence you desire can only be found that way. You have a simple way of verifying whether it is true or not, that you can do at any time.

You have a question, is Jesus God? I have an answer, go to Him and find out.

Since there is no historical evidence that jesus even existed your statement is meaningless.

Still nothing Lucent? Waffling around about evidence, complaining about science, telling people who speaks for them. You didn't have what you thought you did, did you?

I told you what you need to do to know the Lord. You aren't willing, so all your requests for evidence are hypocripsy at this point. If you want to discuss this further, feel free to join the next thread I start up which will elaborate on some of the other evidences from science/history/etc.

Lucent, quote first, reply second.

I wonder what you make of people who have tried to "turn to Jesus" and come up with nothing.

I don't know what's in their hearts, I couldn't say. I have known more than a few Christians who had fallen away for a time and came back to the faith later. Everyone has their own trials to go through. The prevailing factor would be sin.

Um...Jesus never said shit. Jesus never wrote shit, either.

All you have is a bunch of rather pointless texts which claim that he said one thing or another.

Your problem is to establish the authenticity of said texts.

You haven't got a fucking clue how to do that, luce. All you can do is pretend that said texts are real.
