I wonder what you make of people who have tried to "turn to Jesus" and come up with nothing.

I don't know what's in their hearts, I couldn't say.

Classic cop-out. They weren't truly dedicated or their faith was just not strong enough or they went with selfish desires. I've heard them all.

Quote:I have known more than a few Christians who had fallen away for a time and came back to the faith later. Everyone has their own trials to go through. The prevailing factor would be sin.

You've known a few?? I've known dozens of Christians who have not only fallen away, but have never come back.

"The prevailing factor is sin."
Please. The prevailing factor is a world wide community of sheep who are afraid of the dark.

Obviously if you leave the faith, that means your faith wasn't strong enough. Not only was it not strong enough, it collapsed in on itself and failed completely.

Do you mean they're all dead now?

No, it's definitely sin, especially with people who grew up in the faith. It's the rubber band effect..suddenly the forbidden fruit is in their hand and its all they want..they develop the typical worldly attitudes..they're done with purity, they just want to satisfy the flesh..and they think to themselves "this life is all we have so we might as well enjoy it!" and then they fall into drugs, casual sex, terrible music..they get tattoos and write bad poetry..they become self-willed, rebellious people very quickly. It's also ties into rebellion against their parents..its all very typical.

Lacking faith in christ somehow indicates hypocrisy eh? Obviously another belief of yours, and I think you've already established that you'll believe just about anything.

(the forbidden fruit lol, ignorance is bliss eh, by the by, don't even get me started on terrible music, the christian sector has a stranglehold on that market)

If you leave faith in favor of that for which evidence is compelling, it is called intelligence.
