[split] Pedophilia and Beauty Pageants

I too loathe child beauty contest. I think they are not not about the poor children,but about the fuckwitted parents who should have their children removed from their custody. In my opinion child beauty pageants are a form of child abuse. They sexualise children and expose them to a vicious adult world in which winning is everything. It disgusts me. Every time I hear the term,I think of that poor little Jo Beth Ramsay who was murdered.

My mother watches a show about these child beauty pageants called "Toddlers and Tiaras." Between this and a lot of shows on that network, I recently had to ask my Dad (who has some expertise in the area of electronics) some questions, and the conversation went a little like this:

ME: Assuming that there are Extraterrestrial civilizations, is it possible that one day, they'll be able to pick up residual broadcasts from satellite TV?
DAD: I doubt it. Why do you ask?
ME: Because if another alien civilization manages to discover TLC, they'll certainly have a pretty big reason to exterminate us all.
