I really don't see that much of a problem with the menu screens. There are worse ones out there.

Finally got my copy right before vacation and came back and took 2 more extra days to play it. Love it, screw the haters.
Betehsda Studios is to me what Krispy Kreme conveyor belts are to my father-in-law I love so much not having to pick a class, it makes the RPG so much more realistic. Not sure if I like the perks yet.. perhaps I should research them more.

Perks are epic, but make sure you read up on them first, since you can't get then all and you'll want to spread them out wisely!
@Napoleon: Yes, there are worse menus out there, but the point is, it feels like a big step backwards from Oblivion. I want to sell the heavier stuff first, and then the valuable stuff. At the moment I can't do that because I'm carrying so much and can't sort through it.
I was just finally able to spend some time with Skyrim. I have been hoarding the perks like its the perk depression. I suppose I'll get around to using them when I have a better idea of what my favorite things are to do. (Yes, I bought the game the day it came out and have spent no more than a few hours with it.)
And I don't like how now when you sell and when you put stuff in containers( you don't own) they go away. I mean I know oblivion was glitchy at times with that, but theres nothing like permanantly removing entiire sections of a city and setting up shop for all your stuff. I need to do a mod with epic pallatial storage for the PC packrat you can buy. I could even have alpphabetized containers.. hmm
Time to dust of the editor....

I had a more annoying problem. I joined the Dark Brotherhood and stored items in a chest next to my bed there. That was fine; they never disappeared. However later on in the questline the Sanctuary got destroyed and I lost all my stuff (because I couldn't get to the bedroom anymore). Pissed me off :-P
You need to buy a house, tack.

Well to me that's not a problem with the menu system itself, rather it's a development oversight. Am I not right in saying that there are menu mods out there though?
I have bought a couple houses, and got a little house of horrors all to my own. It's not the same having to buy it and upgrade it as just clearing out entire sections of Vivec for your own personal warehouse. I'll just design my own house and put it somewhere majestic.

Call it a development oversight if you want; it's still a problem with the menu that quite a few people are complaining about.
Mods won't help those of us playing on the Xbox. |
