I had never really considered homosexuals until about 1986 or so, when a friend "came out" to me, and everyone. It took me about 10 seconds, or so, to realize that it really didn't matter to me that he was a gay man.
Our friends now live in separate areas of the country, but we still keep in touch.
Don't listen to me.
Don't agree with me.
Don't argue with me.
Just humor me!

A person's sexual orientation or identity doesn't matter to me at all. The first time a guy made a pass at me, I felt a little embarrassed about it, but had a good laugh (at my own expense) afterwards. Then again, I felt pretty much the same the first time a girl did the same - so I don't think there's any latent homophobia at all. My mother (and her partner) are also gay.

I don't love fags any more than I love anyone else. I'm not a self-loathing fag, either.
That will never hold up in court...

I like nice people. Period. Gay or straight, black, white, atheist, theist, makes no difference.
"In our youth, we lacked the maturity, the decency to create gods better than ourselves so that we might have something to aspire to. Instead we are left with a host of deities who were violent, narcissistic, vengeful bullies who reflected our own values. Our gods could have been anything we could imagine, and all we were capable of manifesting were gods who shared the worst of our natures."-Me
"Atheism leaves a man to sense, to philosophy, to natural piety, to laws, to reputation; all of which may be guides to an outward moral virtue, even if religion vanished; but religious superstition dismounts all these and erects an absolute monarchy in the minds of men." – Francis Bacon

I like real people. Nice is not necessarily a requirement for my adoration. I love gay people! They're some of the realest people I know.

I voted for the second option because at the moment off-line, I don't have any friends who happen to be gay, lesbian, transgender, bisexual or pan-sexual.

There are no "out" homosexuals around here. I love my sister (she is), but she lives 1,500 miles away.
Interestingly, when she outed herself to our family, she disowned me because I was in the Navy and she assumed that because I was, I must "hate homosexuals." She wouldn't talk to me for fifteen years.
She finally came to her senses; there are homosexual bigots too.
