Well, you may say that, but you are doing a good job at the former, and a poor job of the latter.

Oh, a lesson on arrogance from the most arrogant guy in the thread, that is sooooo helpful...
"Sisters, you know only the north; I have traveled in the south lands. There are churches there, believe me, that cut their children too, as the people of Bolvangar did--not in the same way, but just as horribly. They cut their sexual organs, yes, both boys and girls; they cut them with knives so that they shan't feel. That is what the Church does, and every church is the same: control, destroy, obliterate every good feeling. So if a war comes, and the Church is on one side of it, we must be on the other, no matter what strange allies we find ourselves bound to."

It not only contributes nothing to the discussion but also does nothing to defend your points. All it does is make iyou look foolish.

It's not even that we don't agree with you, it's that we've proven you wrong and pointed out that your entire premise (atheism being a belief) is wrong and we've pointed out why this is. You might accept that we don't agree with you, but it's quite apparent that you're either unwilling or unable to defend any legitimate points you may have made in this discussion and made yourself out to be some sort of moron in the process since apparently the best way you can make us look foolish is by hurling pointless and gratuitous insults at us.

I hope you realise by now that any actual discussion has died out when you refused to answer any criticisms and rebuttals of your points with anything but further insults considering that, as Epimethean pointed out, most of us are simply here at this point for the entertainment value you provide us since this pathetic showing is apparently the best you can do.

How have you proven it?

There have been no rebuttals, unless you think "It's not a belief" and "Lack of evidence" constitutes a rebuttal?

If you think I've missed some key points in your weak as piss perspective, give me a link to a post which epitomises your belief.

Otherwise it's safe to assume you've got as much as you consistently offer.

It's like waiting for someone to throw down a decent hand, but they folded straight away.

Your inability to accept and/or understand in general and understand why our rebuttals are written as such is irrelevant to me.

It isn't a belief because there are no beliefs in atheism. We reject the claims of theism and the rejection of theism is itself not a belief. If you cannot understand this simple explaination, then don't bother insulting the intelligence of those pointing this simple fact out to you and we would gladly explain what this means.

I am, however, slightly more optimistic because i assume you understand and reject this explaination but instead of explaining why we're wrong (so we can better continue a discussion) and thus backing up your point with, at the very least, an explaination, then you're simply wasting our time.
If today you can take a thing like evolution and make it a crime to teach in the public schools, tomorrow you can make it a crime to teach it in the private schools and next year you can make it a crime to teach it to the hustings or in the church. At the next session you may ban books and the newspapers...
Ignorance and fanaticism are ever busy and need feeding. Always feeding and gloating for more. Today it is the public school teachers; tomorrow the private. The next day the preachers and the lecturers, the magazines, the books, the newspapers. After a while, Your Honor, it is the setting of man against man and creed against creed until with flying banners and beating drums we are marching backward to the glorious ages of the sixteenth centry when bigots lighted fagots to burn the men who dared to bring any intelligence and enlightenment and culture to the human mind. ~Clarence Darrow, at the Scopes Monkey Trial, 1925

If there were a Rushmore facepalm, I would post it here for you, Joop. You are wandering in a dark room, bumping into things and calling them all manner of words which are meaningless. The efforts of people here to explain to you your faulty reasoning are obviously falling on deaf ears. There is nothing you have offered and which merited response which has not been addressed. The rest of the bollocks you have continued to pile about has been quite rightly summarily dismissed. You have proceeded to insult people more and more openly while offering nothing to further the dialogue.

I predict pink. I wonder what Rhythm's dolls are up to about now.

Has there been a sudden influx of computers in mental institutions?

We seem to be loony magnets at the moment.

You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid.

Shhh! If Nurse Rached finds out, I'll have to visit the 'special room' in the basement for certain.
