Huckabee And Women's Bathrooms

Are you okay with allowing men to use women's restrooms?  Do you think that if they did, none of them would try to take a peek into the stall or harass any of the women?

This probably goes in the same direction as the idiotic argument Huckabee made. Transgenders aren't men or women. That's the whole deal with transgender persons. They are trapped in the wrong body, not men drooling over the possibility to peep on women. I don't get, why we even have that discussion when even the Iranians accept the transgender issue.

Why would it matter to them which restroom they use then?  If they have a penis they can use the men's and, if not, they can use the women's.  Seems pretty simple to me.

On average, I think heterosexual men would be more comfortable in men's restrooms. I have zero problem with allowing transwomen using women's restrooms and I would easily advocate for coed restrooms. Public restrooms don't seem to be a place for creepers to creep as they're dirty and people are peeing and pooping in there. On the rare occasion it happens those people could be caught and held accountable. I've used a men's restroom and not felt uncomfortable and it didn't seem to me that any men were nervous about me taking a peek. Most people just go in do their business, wash their hands, and leave.

If we had coed restrooms it would solve the problem. It being in public where other people are there and possible security cameras at safe angle should ease anyone's worries.

You are so blind. I think intentionally. When is the most common time we see harassment or even violence toward people in public restrooms? It's when a transgendered woman is forced to use the men's restroom because she has a penis that she never asked for and some ape like manly men get their panties in a bunch because they're scared of the girl with a penis. It's not simple at all. If all people were born with the body they belong in then it would be simple but that is not the case so it isn't simple. 
I don't see why everyone can't use whatever restroom they feel comfortable in. If I walked into a men's restroom dressed in men's clothing, would you be afraid of me? Would you fear that I would somehow rob you of your innocence? Or would you just go about your own business and leave me to go about mine in peace?

I don't think it's common enough that we should all have to show our genitals as proof in order to get into a restroom. 

Or maybe we could give everyone an electronic key that they have to provide DNA evidence to gain access to the public restroom that matches their biological sex. 

I don't think so. Just let people use whichever restroom they wish to use. If you're really worried you can put a security camera and make the doors to the stalls go all the way to the floor.

Which is usual procedure in most western european bathrooms anyway. Personally I feel kind of uncomfortable and exposed if they don't. Regardless of the gender of possible visitors. Also, I don't feel the need to smell and hear everything coming from the neighbouring stall.
