Watching the USA struggle against Panama.

To be fair they're almost always dead on the beach in New Smyrna Beach/Daytona. And I didn't see them until two or three of them were draped across my back/shoulders/chest, sucking the life out of me with their tentacles of doom.

Just got back from a day in the hospital. I was under observation for complications following a procedure I had on Thursday. Things resolved well.

How long ago was this? Did it scar?

I was a teenager, so 10-12 years ago. Nah, didn't scar. Just hurt like a sonofabitch for a week or so. Wearing a shirt was a pain.

I do have a scar from when I stepped on a stingray and it barbed me at Crescent Beach when I was 10, though. That one was less painful, but more bloody. There was a 3" barb sticking out of my achilles. I wiggled it out by myself, and was told afterwards at the hospital that I could have broken the tip off and needed surgery by doing that. Oh well, it was fun to make my sister flip out while pretending to be macho.

Glad you're okay, Ras. :hugs:

Ouch, omg I'm so sensitive to gore I'd faint if that stingray incident happened to me

I have a scar, and an accompanying small patch of hair permanently missing, on my head from when I was born. I don't know the exact details but I know both me and Mum nearly died. Luckily it's not so big a patch that I can cover it easily once my hair gets to about 1/2 an inch long, if it wasn't for that I'd probably just keep my hair shaved off most of the time, I'm a bit conscious. Still the alternative is worse.

Them little fuckers HURT. Look like I got attacked by a ravenous cat. My torso was fucked. Good thing the lifeguard had some of that green vinegar/aloe solution. Helped a little, but FUCK.

Yikes, I got hit with a single tentacle once when I was diving in Mexico.

Seriously, those things are far scarier than sharks. No joke.
