The French were pretty brutal to German POWs. But America wasn't. The most America did was allow the French a freer hand with their German POWs than we should have. German POWs in the US were living pretty sweet. Heading to town to watch movies, drink in nearby town bars, etc. A heck of a lot of Germans that were POWs in America moved to America after the war.

You made accusations about how the French and Americans treated German soldiers poorly that were captured. Stimbo asked you how they treated German civilians. As in how did the French and Americans treat German civilians that were captured. The French and Americans left civilians alone.

Germans treated captured German Jews (civilians) as something to dispose of. And did it in the most efficient method ever devised by humanity for eliminating humans. And you bring up a bombing run of a city? Yeah, all countries involved in that war, that had the capability, took part in bombing runs on civilian populations. Both the Axis and the Allies did this.

But if your defense for the slaughter of civilian German jews by Germany is some passing comment about German SOLDIERS being mistreated, then you aren't really winning the argument are you?

Soldier equals a male, of a certain level of maturity. Civilians equaled women, babies, toddlers, etc. These things are documented. Children. Pregnant women. All victims of the Reich. NOT soldiers that were POWs.

It's true that the Allies bombed hundreds of thousands of German civilians to death. The sad fact is that bomber technology back then could not accurately hit factories without hitting civilian buildings as well.

However, we were not instigating a genocide, we were fighting it.
